Viewing SG Playlists in SyncSketch
Once we received the script user information and updated your workspace you will be able to browse Shotgun Playlists within SyncSketch. Rest assured, your information will be stored safely in our database using a PBKDF2 algorithm with a SHA256 hash, as recommended by NIST.
Within a project you will find the Shotgun Playlists Dialog under the "... more" menu.
The Shotgun Dialog allows you to browse your Shotgun Projects. Once you select your project, we will load all active playlists within the last 60 days. Fetching the playlist information is as easy as pressing the "Sync" button. The sync process will display a progress bar for better feedback.
Once a review is synced, it will show up in your SyncSketch Reviews Tab. Reviews which are connected to Shotgun have a "SG" button. The SG menu will allow you to refresh the playlist items, in case there were some last minute changes to the Playlist on the Shotgun side. Once you made sure all Versions have been synced you can start adding your notes in SyncSketch in a synced session or offline.
Pushing Notes back into SG
After users have given their notes on SyncSketch, you can push the information back to Shotgun using the same menu. In the SG menu, use the "Push Notes to Shotgun" option which will start pushing the notes to Shotgun. Both comments and Sketches will be stored in a single Shotgun Note to prevent confusion. It is not uncommon to have more than 20 Sketches per version which would make it hard to track on the Shotgun side.

After the Notes have been synced, they will show up in your Shotgun interface. You can see that the Comments have been added with Markdown for the frame numbers and the Sketches are attached as frame accurate annotations. The generated note is connected to the Playlist, the Shot and the Version to make sure it's easy to find.
We included a TinyURL back to SyncSketch for quick access of the notes in context.
